Mater: It's my party and I'll break out in hives if I want to

Everything started out just fine. Your typical 1 year old birthday party. With cake and decorations and presents and family and food and balloons and a birthday crown, of course.

And then things started getting a little wild when the clothing started to come off. Avocado Jr., you do have some great thigh rolls, so everyone welcomed the nudity.

Mater and Pater kept the party going with plenty of food and party games. The most fun you've had, well, ever - pass the parcel, musical chairs, pin the horn on the unicorn - what with your surname we didn't want to risk the jokes with pin the tail on the donkey...

Mmmmm...a sweet table for the sweetheart.

Family to keep things interesting.



And then came time for the birthday cake. Oh, the birthday cake. A millenia old tradition. Mater wanted so much to get you the most special cake. And so she ordered a vanilla cake with meringue laced in the icing. What could be wrong with that? Nothing. Well, nothing if you weren't (unknown to us) allergic to eggs...

Mater and Pater have heard horror stories about what kids get up to on their 18th and 21st birthday parties, but we weren't expecting you to finish your first birthday doped off your face. Okay it was Benadryl but drugs are drugs!

Scares aside, you had a great day and even after your party ended, you still had energy to carry on partying. Shame the same couldn't be said for Mater...

Here's to your first birthday party, Avocado Jnr! Pater and I wish you many more to come. And hopefully Mater won't almost kill you at the next one...
