Pater: Land of the Snow and Smiles

Pater loves his new native land. Well for six months of the year anyway. Six of the hotter months that is. You remember, summer and early autumn/fall (let's all stop pretending this country has a spring season). Sitting in a tundra of snow, it's hard to remember just why moving here was a good idea. And Pater isn't just referring to himself. The whole of Canada - why? Oil and the fur industry just don't explain it. And certainly not in the 21st century. Why not all move further south and send workers up here for drilling and hunting? Why not...Mater has just reminded Pater that as a guest in this country it's considered bad manners to go off on a tirade, so Pater will reel it in and get to the point. Pater loves his new native land but not as much as you Canadian Avocado Juniors do, even in the winter...
