Pater: Oh Canada, Oh Grandma London

First there was the Immigration Act of 1976.  Then there was the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act of 2002.  Then there was the immigration of Grandma London in 2018.  Three monumental events in Canada's immigration history!!!!

That's right.  In 2016, Canada admitted 296,346 permanent residents.  Pater (and Statistic Canada) is not sure what happened in 2017.  But in 2018, Canada admitted 296,347.
Yup, Grandma London is now a permanent part of the 1.42% of Canada's population originally from the United Kingdom (or technically the 0.13% who originated in South Africa!).  So we did what the Hass Avocados do best...we threw a party!!!!!
We are so happy to finally have two grandmas in town.  Double the amount of free, sage advice.  Double the amount of hugs and kisses.  Double the amount of pressies.  Double the amount of love.
Welcome to your new home, Grandma London (London, Ontario?).  Enjoy your stay!!!!
