Mater: The Great Juggler

Sigh!  Mater remembers with great fondness the golden years when she could watch a program, write an email, talk on the phone and file her nails all while listening (or pretending to listen) to Pater when he described his action-packed day.  Then AJ1 came and Pregnancy Brain wiped out all of Mater's multi-tasking skills.  Mater had to choose between texting a friend and window shopping, else she fell over.  And the arrival of AJ2 made it even worse.  So just before AJ3 was born, Mater became scared that a third child would require intense concentration just to open the front door.  Or at least Mater would have been scared if she wasn't eating and therefore unable to focus at the same time on being scared.
And then a miracle happened.  Well two if you count the actual birth.  The advent of AJ3 saw Mater's superhero powers return.  Suddenly she found she could feed AJ3, eat a meal, send a text and at the same time convincingly feign interest in Pater's stories.  This was such a relief, not least because with three Avocado Juniors all below the age of 5 (and a Pater above the age of 5 but for all intents and purposes...), the need for juggling became imperative.

Otherwise, how else to bear witness to the wonder that is a new born baby...
...while ensuring AJ1 and AJ2 aren't killing each other...
...while sneaking junk food past Pater...

...while trying to keep up with the the frenetic whirlwind that is AJ1...
...while maintaining a sedate pace with AJ2 (before you ask, he lasted 90 seconds on the tricycle)...

...while co-ordinating whose turn it is to hold AJ3...

But to be honest, all this juggling gets tiring even for someone as skilled as Mater.  So thankfully, the Hass Avocados know how to do down-time...
...even Mater...
