Pater: Graduation!

AJ1, in England, a person graduates from education to the work place after finishing university and a big party is thrown.  And maybe a little beer is drunk.  How wonderful for all of us, not least Pater who loves North American excess, that you get to graduate over and over and over again as you move from one stage of education to the next, never actually getting off Pater's payroll!  Nonetheless, AJ1, Pater and Mater were very proud to watch you graduate Nursery as another rite of passage in the journey of your life.  Bravo!

However, if Pater is really honest, his greatest joy and pride this month came from a far more important graduation.  And I'm not talking about potty training or brushing your own teeth.  In fact I doubt graduation from university will fill me with as much happiness as when you graduated to learning to swing yourself!  Ah the sheer exultation that Pater feels, now that he no longer has to "give one more push".
